The ASD resourced provision was established in September 2002 to provide high quality teaching and support for pupils who have been diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. We recognise that our ASD pupils will have a wide range of different special needs.

 

The resource has a suite of rooms in South Block, known as The Base. We are next door to the Learning Support Department. The resource welcomes the opportunity to work with parents and other professionals involved in the education and care of the pupils.

Pupils with LDD, including those in the autistic spectrum disorder base, make outstanding progress due to the careful

monitoring of their progress.

They receive very effective support and follow relevant personalized learning programmes.

The support and guidance for pupils with autistic spectrum

disorders and learning difficulties and disabilities is exemplary.

The support given to pupils at the autistic spectrum disorder base is truly outstanding which allows this group of pupils to be prepared fully for the next steps in their learning.
