Videos for pupils
to borrow are shelved next to the fiction section.
They include
films, classic series and educational subjects, such as GCSE Bitesize Revision.
Videos may be
borrowed only on an overnight loan.
On Searchstar, the Library catalogue, the
classification number begins with the letters VL, meaning “Video Loan”. Videos
with other prefixes such as VH or VG are staff videos, for use by various
departments.
Most of the
magazines and newspapers are in a display rack next to the videos.
They are for reading in the Library and may not be borrowed.
There are also some magazines, which may be useful for research, such as
Catalyst and Understanding Global Issues. These are placed in folders or Project Files in the reference section.

cuttings, magazines or booklets on various subjects. Items from these may be
photocopied if required.
