Exam Results 2016

Pupils and staff at The Romsey School are celebrating superb examination results again with 100% of pupils achieved examination passes, and 70% of pupils achieving A* – C in English and Maths. 85% of pupils made at least expected progress in English and 77% in Maths.

Over a third of all pupils achieved at least 3 or more A* – A grades, on a par with last year which was our best ever overall results and a quarter of pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate. .

There were notable individual successes with 20 of our top performing pupils achieving at least 10A* to A grades.

Colm McKavanagh, Head-teacher and Jonathan de Sausmarez, Executive Headteacher said; “ These results reflect the exceptionally hard work which students, staff and parents have put in over the past 5 years. Whilst the overall percentage of A* – C is slightly lower than last year, the number of pupils making expected progress is very strong, especially for English and this reflects the nature of the cohort and the collaboration they had with our excellent staff who worked so hard to support them. Congratulations are due to everyone who worked so well together.”
