Colm McKavanagh, headteacher and Jonathan de Sausmarez, executive headteacher at The Romsey School said: “These results reflect the exceptionally hard work which students, staff and parents have put in over the past 5 years.
“Congratulations are due to everyone who worked so well together. We are particularly pleased with the percentage of pupils who have achieved the higher grades and this reflects our high aspirations for pupils to do their very best.”
The school says 83 per cent of students achieved grade 4+ in English and 72 per cent in Maths. The percentage students gaining a grade 5+ has increased from last year in nearly all subjects.
37 per cent of all pupils achieved at least 3 or more Grade 7+ grades, the equivalent of A* – A, up 4% on last year and 29% achieved 5 or more Grade 7+ grades, up 7% on last year. 24 students achieved 9 or 10 grades at 7+.
