Headteacher announces retirement

Headteacher of The Romsey School, Mr Colm McKavanagh announces retirement at the end of the academic year.

Following over seven years very successful service to Romsey School, our Headteacher, Mr Colm McKavanagh, has decided to retire at the end of this academic year in August.

The chair of the Board of Trustees, Judith Houghton, stated, “May I take this opportunity to thank Mr McKavanagh for his excellent leadership during his tenure which has seen improved academic standards, excellent Ofsted reports and the rise in popularity of the school with the parents and community.”

The Board of Trustees have already begun the nationwide process to find a replacement and we will are aiming to have interviews in March with an announcement soon after. This will enable a smooth transition ready for the start of the September term.
