International Food Week


During International Food Week pupils at The Romsey School attended assemblies highlighting the increase of food poverty in the UK.  

Food Technology teacher Sarah-Louise Clarke and members of the School charity group encouraged pupils to bring in items of food to donate to the Andover Foodbank. This food bank run by the Trussell Trust is one of a network of over 400 in the UK, all providing emergency food for local people in crisis.

Staff, pupils and their families collected hundreds of items for the Andover Foodbank and Sarah-Louise Clarke expressed a huge thank you to all involved for their generosity, adding that ‘Every item will be appreciated by those people struggling this winter.’
